*The Lord's Men*
Excerpt from the upcoming graphic novel... "I had always believed I was special...I should have died the night I was born...Since that day, I've been this close to death countless times...Choking, drowning, suffocating, falling, burning...I guess the first sign of what I was came when I was little...Six other kids trapped me under a small dome...They had been playing with it, and decided to see how long I could go without air in the dome...They were all bigger than me, and all six sat on top of the dome, holding me down...I don't like tight spaces. I saw white and my mind went blank...I went into a berserker rage...Though there wasn't room in the dome for me to sit straight, I stood up and hurled the dome away from me...The other kids lay five feet away, where I had thrown them...Two were unconscious, the other four lay moaning nearby...Nobody asked me if I was alright...The children didn't know how I had gotten out, and the parents didn't realize anything was amiss...But by then I had started to see... My calling...His calling...To become one of His..." |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.  reports, 1d 18h agoThis newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. |
